Overview

About this trip

This cross-curricular London tour is built around a strong Business Studies focus, giving students the chance to examine how international organisations operate, communicate and compete in one of the world's leading business capitals. Visits to the financial district, professional talks or a university-style business and economics session are complemented by work on branding, media production and the creative industries, with Canary Wharf and the regeneration of Battersea Power Station offering tangible case studies.

Wider curriculum links run through the programme: film and television production at Warner Bros. Studio Tour London and the proposed Sky Studios experience at Elstree support media and creative careers learning, while Westminster, the Houses of Parliament and Shakespeare's Globe bring politics, history and theatre studies to life. A proposed West End performance rounds out the cultural programme.

The seven-day, six-night itinerary runs from Saturday 19 June to Friday 25 June 2027, flying Dubai to London Heathrow and returning overnight into Dubai on 26 June. The group stays at a centrally located 3-star London hotel in a safe and convenient area, with breakfast and two-course dinners included and halal dining prioritised. A private executive touring coach is available from Day 1 to Day 7, and a professional Tour Manager (Blue Badge Guide qualified) is with the group daily to oversee and support all arrangements. All visits are proposed at this stage and remain subject to availability, with the order of visits possibly adjusted to reflect opening times and operational considerations.

Cultural awareness

Customs & norms in United Kingdom

A little cultural fluency goes a long way — these are the habits your hosts will notice and appreciate.

  • Queueing is a national institution — never jump one.
  • Stand on the right of escalators, especially on the London Underground.
  • "Please", "thank you" and "sorry" are used constantly — match the habit.
