Overview

About this trip

This seven-day programme in Paris combines structured French language learning with cultural, artistic and historical study. Two three-hour lessons focus on practical conversation, vocabulary and confidence in everyday situations, while a team treasure hunt and guided walks give students authentic opportunities to use their French in context.

Curriculum links extend beyond languages: the Louvre and Musée d'Orsay support art and history study, Versailles reinforces themes of French monarchy, architecture and European history, and the Disneyland Paris day can carry optional reflection tasks on guest experience, branding, storytelling and tourism. A Montmartre photo or sketch challenge and a hands-on French pastry workshop add practical, creative elements.

The trip runs from 27 March to 2 April 2027 for students aged 13–17, based in a 3-star hotel with breakfast and private coach transport throughout. A half-day school or university visit can be arranged for Day 7, subject to advance confirmation, term dates, safeguarding procedures and group availability. The Disneyland Paris day operates under agreed supervision arrangements.

Cultural awareness

Customs & norms in France

A little cultural fluency goes a long way — these are the habits your hosts will notice and appreciate.

  • Always open with "bonjour" before asking anything — skipping the greeting is considered rude.
  • Meals are unhurried and phones stay off the table.
  • Dress neatly for restaurants and churches; casual sportswear stands out.
